Where do I register for Summer Summit?

Registration will be available on the conference website. Each session has limited space and you must pre-register for the sessions you wish to attend.

Do I need to register in Frontline?

No. Once you sign up for the sessions you wish to attend (via the conference website) you do not need to do anything else. Your Frontline points will be awarded by the Office of Teaching and Learning staff within two weeks of the conference.

Will attendees receive payment for attending sessions?

No. This year those attending the summit will receive in-service credit ONLY for the sessions they attend.

Can I pick and choose which sessions I attend?

Yes! Every teacher has different needs. We recommend reading the session descriptions in depth before choosing which ones best fit your needs.

What if I registered for a session but change my mind?

We understand things happen and you may want to change your sessions. If this happens, please contact Jessica Gutierrez with the necessary changes.  

Will attendance be taken during each session?

Presenters will take attendance for each session including the Welcome session. You must be present for the entire session to earn the Professional Learning points for that session.  

Where do I go the day of the summit?

All sessions are going to be held at Ft. Pierce Central High School. 4101 S 25th St, Fort Pierce, FL 34981. More information on parking and entry location can be found here.  

What time does the summit start and end?

Each day will start with check-in and registration beginning at 7:30 AM. Sessions will begin at 8:00 AM and will end at 3:00 PM. June 9th is designed for elementary teachers and June 10th is designed for secondary teachers and K-12 P.E. teachers. 

Is lunch provided to attendees?

No, lunch is not provided. However, there will be food trucks on site for those interested in purchasing. Lunch will be on your own from 11:00 AM -12:00 PM. Feel free to bring your own lunch but note there will not be microwaves available.  Information on lunch can be found here.

How do I know what sessions I registered for?

Upon completion of your registration, you will receive an email with your schedule for Summer Summit. If there is a mistake or you need to make an adjustment, please contact Jessica Gutierrez. You can also visit the help station at Summer Summit for assistance with your schedule. 

Do I have to be an employee of SLPS to attend the Summit?

This is a teacher educational summit designed by SLPS with our curriculum and policies in mind. If you are not an employee of SLPS and wish to attend the summit, please reach out to Jessica Gutierrez for more information.  

If I am not a classroom teacher, can I still register?

Summer Summit was designed with a content focus for classroom teachers. Separate professional learning offerings for non-instructional and non-classroom teachers will be forthcoming. For more information, please contact Jessica Gutierrez.
